Submission of Additional Documentation and Appeal of NITE Decisions
Every examinee has the right to receive an in-depth review of his or her request for special test accommodations. This initial review is provided free of charge.
The documents you submit are generally reviewed by at least two professionals, whose goal it is to come to a clear and complete understanding of your situation and enable you to take the test with suitable accommodations. Therefore, an appeal that does not include additional information is unlikely to be successful.
Appealing a decision of the professional staff or submitting additional documentation for another review returns the case to the professional staff and hence is subject to a fee of NIS 257.
Note: The additional documents or appeal must be submitted to NITE by the close of registration for the test for which you are requesting accommodations.
A response will be issued within 25 business days after the appeal is received.
Do not resend documents that have been submitted in the past; they are kept on file.
Submitting Additional Documentation or an Appeal via the Website
Log onto the website. Select the test you registered for and click on Special Test Accommodations. If you have already applied for accommodations and registration for the test is not yet closed, you can appeal a decision of the professional staff or submit additional documentation. We recommend explaining your appeal in a personal letter.
After submitting the appeal or additional documentation, proceed to the payment link. If you do not pay, your request will not be processed.
You will receive an SMS confirmation when the re-evaluation of your case begins.
Important instructions:
- The documents must be uploaded as PDF files, in their original size. They must be clear, legible and complete.
Documents that are not legible will not be processed. - Up to 20 files can be uploaded, therefore, it is recommended that you scan each document separately (for example, put each evaluation into a separate file). Try not to send each page as a separate file. If you send school report cards, you should scan then into one file, in chronological order.
- If the system warns you that a file you have uploaded is too big, divide it into two parts; make a note in the file name (i.e., Part 1, Part 2); and upload each file separately.
